In total we have 10 rooms for event hire in central Oxford. The most popular for social events and dinners include the Main Hall, the Old Library, Assembly Room and St. Aldate’s Room.
The Main Hall
The Main Hall is our largest room. Hold your social event here to really amaze your guests. With a vast domed ceiling, balconies and an expansive stage, it truly is the jewel in our crown. This impressive function room accommodates up to 300 people for dining and 500 for a more casual event. It has recently been refurbished and looks stunning. The stage can also be used for entertainment or presentations during your event.

The Old Library
The wonderful Old Library can accommodate 80 people seated and up to 120 for a more casual event. It’s a bright and airy room with large windows and high ceilings, providing a spacious feel with plenty of natural light. It’s a wonderfully versatile space and works perfectly with the adjoining Assembly Room.

The Assembly Room
The wood panelled Assembly Room with its vast fireplace and huge paintings is a fantastic space for an event in Oxford. High ceilings and almost floor to ceiling windows make it bright and airy, with chandeliers for a touch of elegance. The Assembly Room can take a maximum of 200 people.

St Aldate’s Room
Wood panelling, a stone fireplace and large windows make the St Aldate’s Room a pleasant and welcoming space. It is perfect for smaller receptions, meals seating a maximum of 30, or presentations for up to 40 people.

Catering
The team at Oxford Town Hall can suggest catering options to suit all events. We work with a sole caterer, who have been carefully chosen to provide you with the perfect menus using locally sourced produce.
Stewards and security
Stewards or Security Industry Authority (SIA) personnel may be required based on a risk assessment of your event by our team.
SIA security is charged at £19 + VAT per security personnel per hour and there’s a minimum requirement of two for guests of up to 200 people.
