Oxford Town Hall Achieves COVID-Safe Industry Quality Assurance
Published: Tuesday, 14th July 2020
Oxford Town Hall has been recognised as delivering excellence in its events operations.
The Town Hall has secured the MIA’s (Meetings Industry Association) highly acclaimed AIM (Accredited in Meetings) Secure Accreditation.
The MIA is the principal association supporting and growing the business meeting and events industry and provides the UK’s only recognised quality standard for the sector.
This accreditation is an upgraded version of the AIM Accreditation we achieved in 2019 (see our press release about this here), and highlights our dedication to offering an environment that is healthy and hygienic as well as our commitment to do the very best for both customers and staff.
The AIM Secure Accreditation assures a venue:
- has high quality meeting and events facilities
- delivers a healthy and hygienic environment
- Delivers excellent service to customers
- Complies with all relevant legislation
Oxford Town Hall has also achieved Visit Britain’s “We’re Good to Go” COVID-19 Industry Standard.
Visit Britain is the UK’s national tourism agency, and is a non-departmental public body. Visit Britain plays a unique role in building the tourism product, raising Britain’s profile worldwide, increasing the volume and value of tourism exports and developing England and Britain’s visitor economy.
This Industry Standard means Oxford Town Hall can demonstrate:
- we are adhering to the respective Government and public health guidance
- we have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment
- we have the required processes in place
The Oxford Town Hall team are delighted to have achieved these accreditations that demonstrate we are able to open our doors safely to customers, and are looking forward to welcoming back events and their guests when it is safe to do so.
