The Main Hall

The icing on the cake at Oxford Town Hall is the breath-taking Main Hall. Full of history and Victorian splendour this lovingly maintained Oxfordshire wedding venue is utterly magical! From the intricately adorned domed ceiling, to the beautiful balconies looking down to the grand Father Willis organ on the stage, the Main Hall is the largest of our licensed rooms in this awe-inspiring wedding venue. With exclusive use and one of only a handful of Oxfordshire wedding venues offering the capacity to cater for larger parties, this exquisite and versatile space can host up to 300 dining and 500 for the ceremony and reception. The Main Hall is the perfect space to celebrate and dance the night away with your guests whether that be with a DJ or a live band.

Originally known as the Banqueting Hall, the enchanting Assembly Room in our Oxfordshire wedding venue will be sure to impress your guests with its magnificent timber ceiling, vast fireplace, huge oil paintings and sumptuous wood panelling. Ideal for both ceremonies and receptions, it’s a wonderfully versatile space and works perfectly with the adjoining Old Library, offering space for both dining and dancing. With a capacity for 140 guests for dinner and 200 for celebrating, the high ceilings and magnificent chandeliers are perfect for capturing the most beautiful of photographs, while the near floor to ceiling windows flood this truly romantic space with natural light.

Situated adjacent to the Assembly Room, the stunning Old Library in our beautiful Oxfordshire wedding venue is adorned with American walnut wooden panelling to the walls with a high timber ceiling above. With a warm, intimate ambience the Old Library is spacious enough to accommodate up to 100 guests for a reception. The vast windows with stained glass detailing, are a photographer’s dream as they flood the room with natural sunlight.

St. Aldate’s Room

The St. Aldate’s Room is the perfect space for small, intimate ceremonies or drinks receptions of up to 40 people. Adorned with wood panelling, a striking ceiling, stained glass window and beautiful carved fireplace, the St. Aldate’s Room is the smallest licensed room in our stunning Oxfordshire wedding venue. It’s a wonderful space for saying your ‘I dos’ before retiring to the Old Library or Assembly Room with your guests for a wedding breakfast and to party the night away.
The Court Room

Ceremony: 43 on fixed bench seating + 50 in balcony
Why not create a totally unforgettable wedding day by making your legal declarations of love in the quirky and historic Court Room here at Oxford Town Hall? With the original dock which still leads down to the old police cells below, the Court Room has historically been used to hold many live court sessions as well as featuring in films and TV shows. It has traditional court room fixed bench seating for 43 people as well as space for another 50 in the balcony above to make your big day truly unforgettable for you and your guests. The balcony also provides a fantastic space for your photographer to capture your special day.
